The Western Occupational & Environmental Medical Association (WOEMA), as a regional component of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM),
represents the five Western states of Arizona, California, Hawaii,
Nevada and Utah and is dedicated to high quality medical care and
ethical principles governing the practice of occupational medicine. The concepts that support our efforts include Leadership, Education, and Service as represented in our logo.
WOEMA member physicians are committed to assuring a safe work place, minimizing worker injury and illness, and serving as a leaders, educators, collaborators and facilitators in preventing and resolving marketplace health problems. We value focus on both preventive medicine as well as expeditious and effective management of illness and injury.
Our mission is to serve as an active resource to, and representative of, WOEMA members, with particular attention to CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION, LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY issues, and other concerns that support our advocacy for the health and welfare of workers.
